Are you scared of serving poached eggs at home.
I guarantee that if you follow these
simple steps and tips
poaching eggs will be like a walk in the park.
Bring water to a boil. add some salt & vinegar
then drop temperature to a simmer.
*salt & vinegar will help you keep the egg together *
Drop the eggs slowly in the water,
they will sink and then slowly float back up.
This could take upto 3-5 minutes depending
on how hot the water is.
Once they float back up, look for all the whites
to be firm. Take eggs out with a spoon.
Dab the spoon in a kitchen or paper towell
and you are ready to serve.
I usually have mine on a toasted english muffin with lots of cracked pepper.
Tips to help you along the way:
Keep eggs cold until ready to be use
Crack eggs on to a small dish then add to simmering water
For deeper flavor poach on chicken or veggie stock
